Large long antique mahogany wood dining table with wind out extending mechanism and two extra leaves, made around 1910 probably. It has thick chunky Queen Anne legs (no offence, ma'am..) and rounded ends to the top. Castors on the bottom. A winding handle inserts into a hole at the end and a telescopic wooden frame allows you to drop in one or both leaves, giving you three size options. At full length I'm pretty sure you'd get ten seats around it, depending on the chair size, perhaps more on friendly, squeezy occasions. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's quite sound and the legs don't wobble. The mechanism works fine. We haven't got the right winding handle (I found an antique one but it's not long enough to clear the table top) but the last owners seem to have made one out of an old wheel nut brace with a socket welded on! It does the job well enough, if a little haphazardly. There's a small split on one leaf (see pics) but it doesn't move. Cosmetically it has various scuffs and bumps and the finish has become quite faded and a bit patchy on top. The additional leaves are darker and less worn: very common as they get used less and are stored away. A few old woodworm holes under one leaf which we've treated anyway. This piece could be completely stripped and refinished but really, it's fine to use as it is. We've kept the price reasonable to reflect the condition though.
